This session will consist of describing the processes taken by our team to open 2 new car washes in a year! We will discuss architecture and engineering processes and decisions, the joy experienced in POS, marketing, and design choosing. How we apply our signage and designs to best meet our target market. How we build our tunnel package to meet the recommendations of our pro forma to capitalize on offering competition-killing service to the community. How we implement solid operational and HR procedures to acquire and maintain valuable team members over the long haul. We’ll discuss the necessity of a good balance of an inventive plan and solid marketing strategy to increase Loyalty memberships. Then we’ll open up to questions and provide supplemental material to support our topical content.
NaKeita Forte Savage is the Senior Director of Project Management for ABC Fine Wine & Spirits and Tux Car Washes in Florida. She leads the Project Management Office in managing and facilitating all major project efforts. NaKeita uses her emotional intelligence, extensive knowledge of Project Management Institute’s (PMI) methodologies and best practices, and experience to lead the organization in gaining a competitive advantage throughout Florida. Performing under the statute of servant leadership, NaKeita drives for change, motivates team members, demonstrates courage, and advocates for innovation with an exceptional quality of excellence. She believes in the value of setting and meeting SMART goals among all levels of the organization. NaKeita has assumed the role of Car Wash Business Development Manager for ABC. In 2021, the organization decided to diversify its business, and by the end of 2022, the family ownership opened three new car washes, two Tux Car Washes in Jacksonville, FL and Aloma Car Wash in Oviedo, FL. NaKeita was challenged with applying her business analysis skills to quickly learn everything about car wash construction and development. She has now acquired the project management leadership, within the PMO, of all new Aloma and Tux car wash locations around the state.
NaKeita is a doctoral candidate for her PhD in Business Management with a specialization in Project Management from Capella University in Minneapolis, MN. She has both her Project Management Professional (PMP) and Project Management Institute – Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certifications. She also has an AA and BA from Kentucky State University in Frankfort, KY, and an MS in Human Services Management from Franklin University in Columbus, OH. She is a wife and mother of two sons and an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Orlando Alumnae Chapter.
When she is not learning about car washes or managing projects, NaKeita can be found in the local skating rink or riding her Peloton. She also enjoys participating in service and social action activities with other leaders in her community. Of course, she is a self-proclaimed celebrationist! She also prides herself on being the “MOMager” to her sons who love and participate heavily in performing arts.
